Install Orb on Android

01 / Download the APK

Tap “Download Orb APK” and wait until the download has completed.

02 / Open the APK

Open the downloaded .apk file from your browser’s downloads or the Android Files app. Android may block it because Orb is a private pilot app and not yet in the Google Play Store.

03 / Allow installation from this source

If Android shows a security message, choose “Settings”. Enable “Allow from this source” or “Install unknown apps”, then return to the Orb APK. Wording and location vary by phone and Android version.

04 / Install Orb

Tap “Install”. Wait for installation to finish, then tap “Open”.

05 / Connect your Shard

Open Orb and follow the onboarding instructions to connect your Shard.

06 / Capture your first Spark

Press the Shard and say: “I need to finish the board presentation tomorrow.” Then keep going.

Download → Allow installation → Install → Open → Connect Shard → First Spark

This is a real-world pilot.

Orb is still evolving. Use Orb where thoughts actually happen — between meetings, while walking, driving, working or when you’re already doing something else. We want to learn what works naturally, what doesn’t, and where Orb still gets in your way.

Before using Orb with confidential, sensitive or work-related information, please read the pilot privacy and data-use information.

Give feedback with a Spark.

Giving feedback works just like capturing any other thought. Press the Shard and say what happened.

FEEDBACK SPARK

“I want to give Orb feedback. The last Spark was put into the wrong area.”

That’s it. Press. Speak. Keep going.

“I want to give Orb feedback. The vibration didn’t happen after my last recording.”

“I want to give Orb feedback. I expected these two Sparks to belong to the same initiative.”

Start with “I want to give Orb feedback…” so Orb knows this Spark is feedback about the product.
